Another year in Forks has passed and the Cullen's are back. Bella is ecstatic to see Edward and everything continues as if Edward never left. However, Jacob cannot forget and continually reminds Edward of the pain that he caused Bella. This causes a rift between Bella and Jacob and the two fall out. To make worse for Bella, Edward and Jacob are fighting for Bella's feelings.

If they thought things couldn’t get any worse, they were wrong. There is a rival clan of vampires, ones that feed from human blood, are living just on the outskirts of Forks. The Swift family is a royal clan of vampires. Thomas Swift, the only son to Victor and Claudia Swift, is seeking Carlisle for help in a situation that he finds himself in. The daughter of another royal vampire clan, Juliet McKee, her hand was promised in marriage to Thomas and the vampire has already found himself in love with Ariella, the hand maid to Madeleine Swift.

The relationship between Ariella and Thomas is a forbidden one. Thomas is to marry one of another royal vampire clan and if his parents were to know, they most likely will kill Ariella and give sever punishment towards Thomas.

What will happen when Thomas seeks out the help of Carlisle, when their families are immortal rivals to one another. Will Carlisle be the true vampire that he is and help Thomas to get out of his arranged engagement to Juliet; or will Carlisle and his family turn their backs of Thomas and the rest of the Swift Clan?

Subplot-Jacelyn's Story

Eight year old Jacelyn Parker wasn't always a Cullen her story begins in the forest on the day of her eighth birthday where she was having a picnic with her mother, friend Daniel who was also celebrating his birthday. Her father Raymond Parker hadn't been invited to the picnic but chose to join anyways, the 1st thing he did was throw his daughter to the ground then proceed to beat his wife. The poor girl held her mother's limp body as tears of sorry streamed down her face, she discovered her friend was no where to be found plus her father had disappeared.
